Ella East is none other than Rotterdam-based Sietske Oosterhuis,

well-known by her participation in the Voice of Holland 2014 where she managed to captivate the jury with her own version of the song “Rather Be” and end up in the quarter -final. Since 2015, Sietske has been writing her own music which she performs under the name Ella East. The name originates from her middle name Elisabeth and surname Oosterhuis. Beside playing solo on the piano since 2016, Ella East has also been performing with her band consisting of drums, keys, backings, guitar and (synth)bass guitar.

With the band she has performed at Altersonic, BIRD and multiple festivals in the Netherlands to name a few. Ella East gets her inspiration from artists like London Grammar, Jessie Ware, Adele and Celine Cairo. With her powerful yet pure, soft voice, she is able to touch the audience. The music varies from light and pure to the full band sound with electronic influences.
